Exciting advances in hearing aid technology: Acoustic-Motion Sensors

As part of the blogs, we try to cover the latest news on advancements in the hearing aid industry that impact the consumers’ experience. In this blog, we talk about Acoustic-Motion Sensors that are recently introduced to the market by Signia (formerly Siemens).

Signia’s new hearing aid platform is called Xperience. It benefits from acoustic-motion sensors to provide a complete analysis of the wearer’s dynamic soundscape. This new technology allows for automatic adjustments between sounds in front of and all around the wearer for a more personalized listening experience.  In other words, it takes motion into account so that the wearer can easily follow conversations also in active situations. According to a research conducted at the University of Northern Colorado, more than 90% of wearers of Signia Xperience reported a natural sound experience while moving (Thomas A., 2019).

If you have any questions, or wish to try the new hearing aids equipped with acoustic-motion sensors, call, email or drop by and we’d be happy to assist you.
